The winners of the 70th National Film Awards were revealed on Friday. Manoj Bajpayi’s Gulmohar received the award for best hindi film.
Once again, low-budget but story-rich movies ruled the National Film Awards. Based on their regions, eight movies received the Best Film Award. Surprisingly, most of the best movies were not big-budget or star-laden.
KGF Chapter 2, from the Kannada Film Industry, and Ponniyin Selvan Part 1, from the Tamil Film Industry, were the only big-budget movies. Manoj Bajpayi’s Gulmohar received the Best Film award for the Hindi industry.
