CSK and KKR were facing off in the 22nd IPL 2024 match. Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first in their home ground, MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
KKR got a very poor start and lost their first wicket on the very first ball of the innings. Salt went back after scoring a duck. Raghuvanshi and Narine took charge after Salt’s departure and built a 50-plus runs partnership. However, when the team was on 56, Raghuvanshi went back on a total score of 24 runs.
Kolkata got their next blow in the CSK vs KKR match soon after Raghuvanshi’s wicket. Narine followed Raghuvanshi. Dangerous Narine scored only 27 runs with a moderate strike rate of 135.
Captain Iyer was the only man who scored 30-plus runs for his team. Instead of him, no middle-order batsmen reached 20 runs. KKR scored 137 runs after losing all its wickets.
