India vs England

The India vs England test series has already started, and the third match is currently going on. On the very first day of the third match, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma made headlines and pushed the English team to the backseat.

In an already leveled series, Indian batters are looking to lead in the third India vs England test match. Captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored centuries to take India to a good score of 326 runs with five wickets remaining.

India and England first-day highlights

India, again, won the toss, and captain Rohit Sharma elected to bat first on his favorite ground of Rajkot. The start was not very good for the Indian team, and they lost their first wicket in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Jaiswal was on a personal total of 10 runs when Mark Wood sent him back to the dressing room. Shubhman Gill continued his inconsistency and scored a 0 before going back to the pavilion. The new man in the team, Rajat Patidar, also followed Gill and gave his wicket to Tom Hartley with a total personal score of 5 runs.

India lost its three important wickets early on, scoring 22, 24, and 33 runs.

However, captain Rohit Sharma kept one side secure, and after Ravindra joined him, he started hitting big shots. They built a strong partnership of 204 runs. After Rohit, Sarfaraz Khan also played a tremendous innings and supported Jadeja well.

Rohit, Khan, and Jadeja scored 131, 62, and 110 runs, while Jadeja was still present at the crease.

Mark Wood took three wickets for his team; apart from him, Tom Hartley was the only bowler to take any wicket in the first day’s play.

England vs India second-day preview

In the Friday game, India will look to reach at least 450 runs to take a strong start in its first innings. On the other hand, England will try to end the Indian first innings as soon as possible.

Ravindra Jadeja is playing with a 100-run knock, and he will not let any chance go. His bowling partner Kuldeep Yadav is also there on the crease. However, Kuldeep is less popular for his batting skills, but he has the potential to redeem such conditions.

Since India has five wickets in hand, they will look to score 400+ runs on the second day of the third test. Against three world-class, in-form spinners, the 450 scores will be tough for England.
