MI bowling
None of the Mumbai Indians’ bowlers managed to make a mark in the MI vs. CSK match. Skipper Hardik Pandya found success with two wickets, but it seemed more by luck than skill. Pandya conceded 43 runs in just three overs, with an economy rate of over 14. Gopal and Coetzee also chipped in with one wicket each, but overall, the Mumbai Indians’ bowling display was underwhelming.

Mumbai Indians took a very good start and scored 70 runs without losing any wickets. Rohit and Ishan Kishan looked dangerous and set until Pathirana to attack. They maintained a run rate of almost ten runs per over.
Pathirana’s Counterattack
The Mumbai Indians seemed to have a firm grip on the game until Pathirana stepped up to bowl. The formidable Sri Lankan bowler struck early, claiming Kishan’s wicket and denting MI’s momentum.
Surya, a key player for MI, entered the fray after Kishan’s departure, but Pathirana swiftly dismissed him, too, denying Surya any opportunity to settle in.

In the end, even after Rohit’s 105 runs in an impactful inning, MI lost the game by 20 runs.
MI vs CSK match heroes.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni played well for their respective teams. However, the real heroes of today’s MI vs CSK match are Rohit Sharma and Matheesha Pathirana.
Rohit Sharma – MI lost the game, but not with a big difference. This is all because of Rohit Sharma’s 105 runs inning. He fought till the end and made the difference much less than it could be. Sharma smashed five towering sixes in his innings and 15 fours as well.
Patheesha Pathirana – Pathirana’s impactful spell played a crucial role in CSK’s victory. Without his effective bowling, the outcome of the match could have been vastly different. Pathirana’s 4 wickets are the main reason behind the CSK victory.
