Fundamentalists Target Actor Sonu Sood with Lewd Remarks

Kangana Ranaut and the BJP IT Cell Target Sonu Sood, Known for His Public Services During COVID-19. Trolls Attack Sood After He Shares a Post Promoting Humanity.

The BJP government in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has issued a controversial and arguably illegal decree. According to this decree, vendors selling food and drinks on particular roads must display the shop owner’s name and religion.

This decision appears to be aimed at targeting Muslim shopkeepers, fostering division and hatred in society. Many people voiced their opinions on social media, expressing concern over the decree’s implications.

Actor Sonu Sood also shared his views on X (formerly Twitter) without directly criticizing any political party. However, BJP supporters and extremists did not take kindly to his post and began trolling him.

People began tagging Sonu Sood in videos allegedly showing Muslims spitting in food. Sonu’s old rival, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, known for her controversial statements, also targeted him. However, this time, the Dabangg star responded decisively, effectively silencing Kangana.

Sonu Sood and Kangana Ranaut X Battle

The X battle between actor Sonu Sood and Kangana Ranaut began when Sonu shared his views on the controversial decree by the UP government. Sonu wrote on X, “There should be only one name plate on every shop, Humanity.” He aimed to spread love amidst ongoing hatred, but extremists did not understand.

Kangana Ranaut replied, “Agree, Halal should be replaced with Humanity,” indirectly trolling him. Supported by the BJP IT cell, they trolled Sood for hours.

In response, Sonu clarified, “Our Shri Ram ji had eaten the false berries of Shabri, so why can’t I eat them? Violence can be defeated by non-violence, my brother. Only humanity should remain intact.” Again, people misunderstood him.

Kangana seized another chance to troll, replying to a post by Times Algebra, “Next you know Sonu ji will direct his own Ramayana based on his findings about God and religion. Wah kya baat hai Bollywood se ek aur Ramayana.”

Sonu did not back down and responded, “I never justified those who spit in food. That is their character, and it will never change. Give them severe punishment for this.” He added, “But let humanity remain humanity, friend. The time we spend explaining things to each other, we should spend the same time on helping the needy people. Well, let me tell you all, I am the biggest fan of the work of the UP government.”

He also informed people of his attachment to UP and Bihar: “Every house in UP, Bihar, is my family. Remember, whatever the state, city, or religion, if there is any need, please let us know. The number is the same.”

Why did the UP government release a controversial decree?

The issue centers around the Kavad Yatra, a religious parade involving millions of Hindus. This parade starts in various cities and concludes at temples in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The Uttar Pradesh government issued a controversial decree for vendors selling food along the parade routes. This decree requires vendors to display their name and religion. Ostensibly, this helps devotees choose their preferred vendors based on religion or caste.

However, many view this as a strategy for vote bank politics. The Yogi government aims to create division between Hindus and Muslims to gain an advantage in the forthcoming elections.

Sonu Sood as Social Worker

Apart from his acting career, Sonu Sood is also known for his social work. He spent crores of his earnings to help workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the government and other influential people stayed at home, Sonu Sood was out on the streets, helping people get home at his own expense.

Even today, Sonu continues to serve society through his Twitter account. People of all religions, both Hindu and Muslim, benefit from his actions. He is loved more than many leaders in India for his dedication and generosity.
