Kolkata won the LSG vs KKR match by eight wickets at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. In the presence of franchise owner Shahrukh Khan, Philip Salt destroyed Lucknow bowling. 

LSG vs KKR Highlights 

Kolkata Knight Riders took on Lucknow SuperGiants at their home ground, Eden Gardens. The home team won the toss and opted to bowl first. Quinton de Kock and skipper Rahul came to open for LSG. 

LSG lost their first wicket early when de Kock went back after scoring ten runs. During the match against KKR, LSG kept losing wickets regularly. Captain KL Rahul tried to hold one end, but other batters didn’t support him well. Five of eight LSG players who batted couldn’t even score more than ten runs.

Captain Rahul, Ayush Badoni, and Pooran were the only players with courage with the bat. KL played steady innings of 39 runs to break his losing streak in LSG vs KKR. KL smashed two sixes and three boundaries to take his team to a winning total. 

Ayush Badoni played a steady innings, scoring 29 runs off 27 balls with one six and two fours in the LSG vs KKR match. Nicholas Pooran, known for his aggressive batting, couldn’t make an impact today and got out after scoring 45 runs. 

Pooran managed to hit four big sixes and two fours during his innings. With contributions from KL Rahul, Ayush Badoni, and Pooran, Lucknow set a target of 162 runs for KKR.

KKR Bowling 

Starc was the man who broke the back of LSG with his fantastic bowling. He took three crucial wickets for KKR. Vaibhav, Narine, Russell and Chakaravarthy also got one wicket each in LSG vs KKR.

KKR Batting 

LSG failed in bowling, and Kolkata won the match just by losing two wickets. However, KKR did not get the best start, and Narine went back after scoring only six runs. LSG gave the first blow to KKR on a total of 22 runs. 

Raghuvanshi, the new man in, also lost his wicket early after adding six runs to the scoreboard. However, after Raghuvanshi, captain Shreyas came to bat, which was the end of LSG’s performance. 

Both Rahul and Salt played fantabulous innings and won the match in the sixteenth over. Salt played an 89 runs inning on just 47 balls. He smashed three sixes and 14 fours to win LSG vs KKR. Captain Iyer played a supporting role, scoring 38 off 38 with six fours. 

LSG bowling 

LSG bowling was a complete disappointment today. Except Mohsin Khan no bowler got even a single wicket. Mohsin was the man who took two wickets for his team. 

Match Heroes 

It’s sad to announce that today, we have no heroes from the losing team. Philip Salt and Mitchel Starc are the heroes of LSG vs KKR. 

Philip Salt is the man behind KKR’s one-sided victory. Salt came as an opener and went as a finisher. He scored 89 but did not lose his wicket until the end. Salt’s innings were decorated with three towering sixes and 14 fours. 

Starc—He took three crucial wickets of LSG and pushed them to the backsheet. Starc also took crucial wickets of Hooda, Pooran, and Arshad Khan.
