Who was David Johnson?
David Johnson was a former Indian cricketer who played two Test matches for India. Even though his international career was not very long, Johnson earned a lot of fame in domestic cricket. He played domestically for the Karnataka team and earned huge respect as a player.
His performance in domestic cricket also gave him a chance to debut in international cricket. However, due to inconsistency and fitness reasons, David Johnson did not play many international matches.
Johnson was born on October 16, 1971, in Arasikere, Karnataka. He was a right-arm fast-medium bowler known for his pace and ability to generate bounce.
David Johnson made his debut for India in a Test match against Australia in Delhi in October 1996. He played only two Test matches for India, both in the 1996-97 season, against Australia and South Africa. In these matches, he took three wickets.
