The feud between Amanda Seales and Issa Rae capture headlines from time to time. They never let any chance to poke each other. However, neither Amanda nor Rae talks openly about their word war.
Amanda Seales has openly talked about the viral feud during her appearance on the Club Shay Shay. I don’t know if all she talked about was one hundred percent correct, but Amanda proves that Venessa Anderson is the real ghost.
While talking about Rae Insecure, co-star Amanda says, “I have never talked about this publicly because it has always been incredibly important to me to protect Issa. Because I know that Issa is doing something within this business that so few people get to do.”
She added, “I am not interested in getting a $100 million production deal. That’s not a life that I want for myself. But I know her (Rae’s) role is vital.”
How and when the feud started?
She says that the friction between her and her co-star from Insecure started when Rae’s publicist Vanessa Anderson allegedly showed animosity during Black Emmy’s party in 2018.
According to the My Brother and Me star, she shared it with Rae and told her that Anderson had some problems with her. However, as per Seales, Rae purportedly chose not to address Seales’ claim.
Issa Rae’s publicist banned Amanda Seales from the industry party
Amanda blames Vanessa Anderson for removing her from the next Black Emmy party. She said, despite being invited to the event, Anderson tried to prevent her entry and removed her name from the attendees.
Issa Rae’s publicist, Amanda Seales, was one of the organizers of the event. So, this claim may sound real for some people.
However, Amanda was able to enter the party with the help of her friend and fellow actor Elijah Kelley. However, according to the actress, Anderson escorted her from the event by security guards.
Amanda Seales even claimed that she was assaulted by one of the security officials during the escorting.
The next day, Rae reached her out and said that she is not involved in any of this. Rae even asked her to speak with Anderson. And during a phone conversation, Anderson accepted that she removed her from the party because she dislikes her. She made multiple similar claims about how Anderson disrespected and maligned her.
