CJ Stroud shines

CJ Stroud shines when the Houston Texans earn a dominant win over the Indiana Colts. Texans’ 23-19 victory over Colts has secured their spot in playoffs.

CJ Stroud shines with a 264-yard, two-touchdown passing performance, leading Houston to a crucial 23–19 victory before the playoffs. After winning against the Indiana Colts, the Houston Texans secured their spot in the AFC playoffs.

Before Stroud, Devin Singletary broke a 17–17 tie with 6:20 minutes left in the game. Stroud subsequently received significant growth in his game under first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans.

In their last chance to score, the Indian Colts got to the Texans’ 15-yard line and faced a crucial 4th-and-1 situation. Choosing to throw the ball after a timeout, Gardner Minshew strived for Tyler Goodson in the left area, but they could not make the connection, destroying the Colts’ attempt at a comeback.

Texans’ Shot at AFC Win

Stroud completed 20 out of 26 passes in a solid performance during this important game. The Texans, who last made the playoffs in 2019, now have a chance to win the AFC South and get a home game in the first round next weekend if the Jacksonville Jaguars lose against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Game Highlights

Both the Texans and the Colts scored on their first drives. The Colts started with a 56-yard drive, leading to a 38-yard field goal by Matt Gay. Houston reacted strongly, with Stroud throwing a 75-yard touchdown pass to Nico Collins on the first play.
