During his appearance on the Scandalous Podcast, Gary Holt responded to a question from host Ashley Steinmetz about the “Taylor Swift problem.” Holt openly defended the singer, stating, “I love Taylor Swift. Why all the hate?” on the July 16 episode. “She’s an extraordinarily hard worker. She’s super (expletive) nice to everybody, and people hate her.”

Holt also praised Swift as the best pop singer on the planet. “She is just the biggest pop star on Earth and more power to her. I like the songs. I love pop,” he said.

Gary Holt Criticizes Beyonce

Gary claimed Beyonce is overrated while comparing Taylor Swift with other pop singers. He criticized the Halo singer for collaborating with multiple writers. “Beyoncé will put out a song, and 30 (expletive) people are on it. How can 30 people write a song, all gathered together?” Holt said. “It’s just like a factory of songwriting. Who even knows who did what anymore when there’s like 20 names on it.”

Additionally, Gary criticized Beyonce’s daughters for getting too much unnecessary recognition. “Her daughter got a songwriting credit and a Grammy because she probably threw some (expletive) kindergarten rhyme on one line,” Holt claimed. “She now has one-seventh the Grammys (that) Prince − the greatest artist that ever was or ever will be − ever got.”
