GT vs RCB: Bengaluru Keeps Playoff Hopes Alive

GT vs RCB showcased Virat Kohli’s mastery in T20 cricket, debunking any doubts about his prowess in the format. Once again, Kohli proved himself as a cricketing legend, transcending formats and the color of the ball.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru is at the bottom of the table, and most experts believe that RCB has no chance. However, for Kohli and RCB fans, even a glimmer of hope is enough to fuel the determination that they proved in GT vs RCB.

Not only did Bengaluru emerge victorious by 9 wickets, but they also achieved victory with 4 overs to spare to boost their net run rate.

GT vs RCB Highlights

At the Narendra Modi Stadium, RCB won the toss and elected to field first. Gujarat Titans (GT) stumbled early, losing Saha in the opening over. However, Captain Gill and Sai Sudharsan steadied the ship.

In the 7th over, Gujarat suffered another setback as Shubman Gill fell to Maxwell, leaving them at 45 runs in nearly seven overs. Yet, the incoming batsman, Shahrukh Khan, joined forces with Sai to propel their team past the 100-run mark with an impressive 86-run partnership.

GT suffered a setback in the 15th over when Shahrukh Khan was dismissed by Siraj after a crucial innings of 58 runs, featuring five sixes and three fours. With Sudharsan’s stellar knock of 84 off 49 deliveries, Gujarat Titans posted a formidable total of 200 runs in the GT vs RCB encounter.

RCB Bowling

This was not a masterclass bowling performance, but keeping their last matches in mind, RCB bowled well today. Swapnil took the initial wicket to put some pressure on the opponent. Siraj and Maxwell also bowled well to get one wicket each in Gujarat vs Bengaluru.

RCB Batting

Bengaluru’s batting stole the show in the match, exuding confidence and playing with regal authority. Despite RCB skipper Faf du Plessis faltering once again with the bat, his opening partner, Virat Kohli, and the incoming batsman, Will Jacks, didn’t allow the skipper’s departure to burden them.

Faf returned after scoring 24 off 12, with three sixes and 1 four. However, Kohli and Jacks built a winning partnership of 166 runs. Will Jacks played a 100 runs quick inning while Kohli contributed 70.

GT bowling

Gujarat bowlers completely disappointed their fans at home ground. Sai Kishore was the only bowler for GT to pick any wicket. Rest, no bowlers got any wicket in GT vs RCB.
