Kuldeep Yadav was in great form on the first day of India vs England fifth test match. The spinners did not give any chance to the English batting line-up and took all ten wickets in just 57.4 overs.

The Indian team, which had already won the series, brought the England team to its knees on the very first day in the last and formal match. Indian spinners, especially Kuldeep Yadav, showed a tremendous game in the India vs England fifth test. 

England team lost all its wickets on the very first day after scoring only 218 runs. Zak Crawley was the only man to score a half-century and contribute to England touching the 200 mark. Three England players went back to the pavilion without scoring a single. 

India vs England fifth test highlights 

England won the toss and decided to bat first, which proved to be their worst decision. The opening pair of Zak Crawley and Duckett gave them a good start. However, it is a different matter that they could not convert the good start into the best start. 

England lost their first wicket at a total score of 64 runs in the 18th over. Duckett scored 27 runs before Kuldeep Yadav returned him to the dressing room. Ollie Pope was looking in a hurry and went back early on Chinaman’s ball. He contributed to his team with a poor total of 11 runs. 

Jack Crawley looked dangerous in this India vs England fifth Test, like in his previous matches. However, Kuldeep had other plans and sent Jack back when England was at 175. Crawley played a 79-run innings for his team. 

The rest of the English batsmen did not look very interested in this formal test match. No one tried to spend some time at the crease and kept coming and going. Foakes with 24, Root with 26 and Bairstow with 29 runs, contributed poorly. 

Kuldeep Yadav gets a five wicket haul and his spin partner R. Ashwin also took 4 wickets. The remaining one wicket went in Jadeja’s account. 

India Batting 

India started the India vs England fifth test match well also from a batting point of view. The opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharm took a good start. India lost their first wicket on a total score of 104 runs. Jaiswal went back to pavilion after scoring 57 runs with three sixes and five fours. 

Rohit Sharma is still on the crease with a score of 52 runs and Shubhman Gill with 26 runs. Shoaib Bashir got the only wicket of India.
