Jon Stewart is back as The Daily Show host almost after eight years. Jon confirmed the news on social media with a message to the viewers.
MTV Entertainment has confirmed the news of Jon’s return. According to the agency, Jon Stewart will start hosting The Daily Show on February 12.
Jon has also confirmed the news on his X account by posting a short note. He confirmed the news and expressed his excitement for the future with the show.
However, according to the reports now, it is not clear whether Jon Stewart will host the show for all seven days or he will be there only on Monday. It is expected that Jon will attend the host chair only on Mondays.
The show will rotate its correspondents throughout the day. With Trevor Noah exiting the show in 2022, The Daily Show was looking for its permanent host.
Jon Stewart’s journey with The Daily Show
Jon Stewart has given almost 17 years of his life to The Daily Show. He joined the show in 1999 after Craig Kilborn. Stewart continued his services on the show till 2015.
After almost eight years, Jon is joining the show again to take it to the next level. Under the leadership of Jon Stewart, The Daily Show has won 22 Emmy Awards and three Peabody Awards.
