Pakistan vs Ireland: Pakistan Tries Hard to Lose the Game

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup witnessed another upset in the Pakistan vs Ireland match. Pakistan clinched victory in the 19th over, securing a win that allowed them to return home with great pride.

I am not lying. Pakistan has won its second match in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The men in green chased the target with three wickets in hand. More importantly, Babar Azam remained not out, scoring 32 off 34 balls.

They accomplished the feat of chasing 106 runs in just 18.5 overs. I never said Pakistan didn’t try to lose the game; they also did their best to lose against Ireland. Unfortunately, Shaheen Shah Afridi smashed the entire team’s efforts to lose, securing Pakistan’s win.

Now, it’s pretty problematic for Pakistani fans. They cannot abuse or criticize their national team during homecoming.

Pakistan vs Ireland highlights

The lucky Pakistan cricket team won the toss and opted to bowl first. Ireland had a rough start, losing six wickets for just 32 runs. However, Delany and Mark Adair played well to stem the fall of wickets.

Delany was the top scorer with 31 runs, while Adair contributed 15 runs. In the final overs, Joshua Little struck with a quick 22-run innings, taking Ireland’s total to 106.

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Imad Wasim each took three wickets, with Amir taking two crucial wickets and Rauf claiming 1.

In response, Rizwan and Saim Ayub gave Pakistan an excellent start. However, Ayub lost his wicket early, scoring 17 off 17 balls. At one point, Pakistan had 39 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.

But in dramatic turns, Pakistan can go to any extent to court defeat. They lost their next four wickets quickly, scoring just 29 runs. Captain Babar scored the highest 32 off 34 runs, with two fours and one six.

Rizwan, Ayub, and Abbas each scored 17 runs to win the Pakistan vs Ireland match.

Pakistan was already disqualified from the tournament after losing against India and USA. They don’t have any matches to play, so Pakistan will soon return home.
