Ryan Garcia Arrested For Felony Vandalism in Beverly Hills 

Beverly Hills police arrested Ryan Garcia on accusations of damaging hotel property. Ryan was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after he complained of medical issues. 

The Beverly Hills police arrested the American professional boxer Ryan Garcia for felony vandalism. The Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills accused Ryan of damaging property worth $15,000. 

According to ESPN, Ryan Garcia was arrested on Saturday afternoon after he damaged the hotel property. Reports also suggest that the boxer was drunk during the time of arrest. 

Police arrested Garcia at 5:45 p.m. after a driver who dropped him off at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills called them. When the police arrived, the hotel management decided to press charges. 

The hotel management has accused him of damaging hotel property, from his room to the hallway. Garcia’s side has made no official announcement on or against the allegations. 

After the arrest, Ryan complained about some physical and psychological health issues. The Beverly Hills Police sent him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. 

Ryan Garcia’s attorney says 

“Garcia might also be charged with public intoxication,” said Garcia’s lawyer, Darin Chavez. In a statement released on Saturday, Chavez said, “The arrest comes at “an extraordinarily challenging time for Ryan, as he has been grappling with devastating news regarding his mother’s health.” 

“Ryan has been candid about his mental health struggles over the years, and currently, he is facing a significant emotional challenge,” Chavez stated. “It’s vital that fans and the public offer their support and understanding as he goes through these personal difficulties. We are working hard to provide Ryan with the necessary resources. Our team is dedicated to ensuring he gets the right help and care for both his short-term and long-term well-being. We ask for ongoing support and empathy as Ryan prioritizes his family and his health right now.”

Garcia is facing a temporary ban from the New York Athletic Commission after he tested positive for a banned substance. 

Garcia captured the WBC interim lightweight title by defeating Luke Campbell in January 2021. Before winning the interim title, Garcia also held the WBC Silver lightweight title.
