Popular singer, writer, and co-writer Eric Carmen is no longer with us, his wife Amy Carmen announced. He left the world at the age of 74. 

She wrote on Eric’s official website, “It is with tremendous sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Eric Carmen. Our sweet, loving, and talented Eric passed away over the weekend.” 

She added, “It brought him great joy to know that for decades, his music touched so many and will be his lasting legacy.” 

Amy did not mention any cause of death or what had happened to his husband before he died. She asked for privacy and wrote, “Please respect the family’s privacy as we mourn our enormous loss.” 

She also mentioned some top hits of her beloved husband to express her sadness, “Love Is All That Matters…Faithful and Forever”
