Golfer Grayson Murray died on Saturday, May 25, at the young age of 30. Initially, no cause of death was revealed by the parents or PGA Tour authorities.
Grayson Murray, known as a professional golfer, passed away last Saturday morning. He dies at an early age without any big health issues. And even in their initial statements, relatives do not reveal any cause of death.
The sudden death of the professional golfer raised multiple questions in fans’ minds. Everyone wanted to know the actual cause of the star’s death: was it natural, what diseases he was suffering from, and much more.
Though Murray’s parents, Eric Murray and Terry Murray, have revealed the cause of death, it is still not satisfying for some fans. The parents revealed suicide as a cause of death. However, they did not disclose the cause of suicide in their emotional statement.
Grayson Murray’s Parents Statement
His parents revealed the cause of death in a lengthy and emotional statement, available on the PGA Tour’s website.
“We have spent the last 24 hours trying to come to terms with the fact that our son is gone. It is surreal that we not only have to admit it to ourselves but that we also have to acknowledge it to the world,” his parents said in the statement.
They also mentioned the kinds of questions they are currently facing and expressed their love for the late golfer. “We have so many questions that have no answers. But one. Was Grayson loved? The answer is yes,” they added while stating the most asked question.
The parents revealed that Grayson was loved by all the family members including his parents, siblings and even friends. They also thanked the PGA Tour for supporting them in a bad time.
“Please respect our privacy as we work through this incredible tragedy, and please honor Grayson by being kind to one another. If that becomes his legacy, we could ask for nothing else,” Eric and Terry concluded the statement.
Why did Grayson commit suicide?
This is a matter of legal investigation, and we cannot say anything until an official statement is made by the authorities. However, some factors may be a reason behind the suicide of Grayson Murray.
A few years back, he revealed that he is addicted to alcoholic beverages. Murray also revealed that he is suffering from some kind of mental health issues. So, mental health may be a reason for suicide. Again, the actual cause of death will be released by the officials.
