GT vs DC Highlights

The 32 IPL 2024 match took place between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans. The visiting team, Delhi Capitals, won the toss and elected to bowl first. Skipper Pant’s decision proved lucky for DC, and the entire GT team got out in just 17.3 overs.

GT Batting

Gujarat’s batting in the GT vs DC match is the only thing their fans will never try to recall. Captain Gill and W Saha came to open for the home team. Gujarat played the first over quite well and took a steady start.

However, in the second over, Mukesh gave the first dent to Gujarat by picking up the wicket of Saha. Saha went back to the pavilion after scoring two on ten balls. Gujarat tried to recover from the first wicket, and Ishant gave another blow—this time, the skipper was dismissed after scoring eight on six balls.

GT had their second wicket loss on a total of 28 runs, and fans were expecting a partnership. However, the fortune supported the braves, and Sai Sudharsan ran out on the same score, 28.

All the hopes of Gujarat shifted to David Miller and Abhinav Manohar building a partnership and saving the GT vs. DC match. However, Ishant struck again and, this time sent dangerous Miller back to the pavilion.

Similarly, all Gujarat batsmen kept coming and going. Sai Sudhrsan, Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan were the only players who at least got a double digit. Rashid Khan scored 31 runs on 24 balls with two boundaries and 1 six.

DC Bowling

DC bowling was the main highlight of today’s IPL match. Delhi used six bowlers in the game, and excepting the star Kuldeep Yadav, all bowlers got wickets. Mukesh Kumar got three crucial wickets, and Ishant and Stubbs got two each. Khaleel and Axar also got one wicket each.

DC Batting

Despite stopping GT on a poor total, DC did not perform well in bowling. Delhi lost its first wicket in the second over of the inning. Jake Fraser went back after scoring fast 20 runs on ten balls. He smashed two fours and two sixes.

Prithvi Shaw also continued his poor batting and went back to the dressing room in the third over. Prathvi scored seven runs on six balls, with one boundary.

Abhishek Porel and Shai hope to build a small partnership to reach the total. However, they also got out soon. Captain Pant, with 16, and Sumit Kumar, with 9, took DC to the winning total.

Match Heroes

Bowling was the hero of the GT vs DC match. All the Delhi Capitals bowlers bowled well to stop DC at such a low total. However, it was a collective effort, Mukesh Kumar led the mission, and he is the main hero.

Mukesh Kumar – He bowled only 2.3 overs of his spell and took three crucial wickets. Mukesh made the difference that Gujarat never reached. He took wickets of W Saha, Rashid Khan, and Noor Ahmad.
