Yashasvi Jaiswal allowed India to level the series in the second test against England. Bumrah and Ashwin also contributed to India’s huge win. 

India won the second test match against mighty England. Bowlers and batsmen contributed equally in helping the hosts make a comeback. In the first innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a commendable knock for the men in the blue team. 

Jasprit Bumrah destroyed the entire first innings of England by taking six wickets. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav also contributed well to give India a huge lead in the very first innings. 

India won the second test against England by 106 runs. Both teams are now in equal positions by winning one match each. India and England will still play three test matches to conclude the series. 

India vs England second test highlights 

India won the toss and selected to bat first. With a tremendous double century by Yashasvi Jaiswal, India concluded its first innings with a score of 396 runs. James Anderson, Rehan Ahmed, and Shoaib Bashir took three wickets each. 

England scored 253 runs in their first innings, with Zak Crawly’s 76 runs. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah took six crucial wickets for his team. Kuldeep Yadav played a supporting role by picking up three wickets. 

India, with a lead of 143 runs, started its second innings on the third day. Shubman Gill was the man who played a brilliant knock for India in the second innings. Gill hits 104 runs with a strike rate of 70.75. Tom Hartley picked up four wickets for England. 

In the last innings, England showed poor cricket and lost all of its wickets with a total score of 292 runs. Zack was the man again who played some good cricketing shots and scored a half-century. Ben Foakes and Tom Hartley scored 36 runs each to prevent England from a shameful loss. 

India and England will now face each other on February 15 in the third test match. Check the full schedule.
