Indian Spinners Demolished the England Batting Line-up

Kuldeep Yadav in the first innings and Ravichandran Ashwin in the second innings, both Indian spinners, destroyed the English batting. India’s dazzling spin attack broke the back of England by taking five wickets each in both innings.

India had clinched the series with an impressive 3-1 lead before they faced the England Cricket Team in a formal fifth test match. Continuing their dominance, India secured another commanding victory. Meanwhile, England, suffering consecutive defeats in all four test matches, ended the series with a disappointing 4-1 loss.

India won the fifth test match against England by 64 a massive margin. Indian spinners were the hero of the fifth test match. Kuldeep Yadav took 5 wickets in England’s first innings. While, R. Ashwin also picked a fifer in their second innings. 

Indian batsmen, especially the top order, also showed courage and supported their bowlers well. 

England won the toss and chose to bat first, but their innings ended with a meager total of 218 runs as they lost all their wickets. In contrast, India displayed a stellar performance, amassing 477 runs and securing a commanding lead of 259 runs. In their second innings, England faltered once again, ultimately losing the match by over 50 runs.

In the fifth test match, Skipper Rohit Sharma showcased his prowess with a remarkable century in India’s sole innings. Rohit’s innings of 103 runs included an impressive display of 13 fours and three towering sixes. Furthermore, Shubhman Gill contributed significantly with a solid knock of 110 runs, facing 150 balls and striking five sixes along with 12 boundaries.

Additionally, Jaiswal and Padikkal also made noteworthy contributions, each scoring over 50 runs, further bolstering India’s formidable total.

England scored a total of 218 runs in their first innings. After that, India took a 259 run lead, scoring 477 runs. England, in their second innings, lost all their wickets on a total of 195 runs. India won the match by 64 runs. Bowlers were the heroes of the fifth test match.
