RCB lost the third out of four IPL matches they played in the season. De Kock played a fantastic inning for the Lucknow in the RCB vs LSG match.

RCB’s longstanding bowling woes persisted, starkly evident in their fourth outing. None of their primary bowlers could make a significant impact, delivering a rather pedestrian performance throughout the match. Maxwell emerged as the sole shining light in RCB’s bowling lineup, securing two crucial wickets.

In the 15th match of the Indian Premier League, the Bengaluru and Lucknow teams squared off at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, with both sides carrying significant motivations during the RCB vs LSG encounter. RCB was keen on regaining their confidence with a much-needed victory, while Lucknow aimed to consolidate their position in the top four.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, RCB took to the field against LSG. The latter got off to a strong start, fueled by the aggressive batting display from De Kock and their skipper, Rahul. However, their momentum was halted when they lost their first wicket in the form of KL Rahul after reaching a commendable score of 53 runs.

After Padikkal’s departure, Stoinis joined the formidable De Kock at the crease, and together, they forged a robust partnership, amassing over 50 runs. Stoinis contributed 24 runs off 15 deliveries, showcasing his power-hitting prowess with two sixes and a boundary.

However, it was Pooran who provided crucial support to De Kock’s onslaught with a blazing innings, notching up 40 runs off just 21 balls. De Kock, in a stellar display of batting mastery, stole the show with a magnificent knock of 81 runs from 56 deliveries. His innings were adorned with five towering sixes and eight elegant boundaries, firmly establishing his dominance on the day.

Bengaluru Batting

In a disappointing turn of events for RCB, their batsmen failed to display the required grit to secure victory in the RCB vs LSG match. Opening with Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, RCB suffered an early setback as they lost their first wicket. Kohli, attempting to boost the run rate, departed after scoring 22 runs.

Shortly after, Faf also fell, contributing 19 runs to the scoreboard. Despite Rajat Patidar’s efforts to mount a fightback, RCB found themselves struggling as no other batsman provided substantial support. The young Mayank Yadav emerged as a formidable force, dismantling RCB’s batting lineup.

Yadav accounted for the dismissals of Maxwell and Cameron Green in quick succession, further denting RCB’s hopes. Despite the late efforts from Mahipal Lomror and Mohammed Siraj in the final overs, RCB failed to salvage the match.
