What is an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile?

Intercontinental ballistic missiles or ICBMs are a kind of missiles that have a range of over 5500 KM. According to battle experts, these missiles are mainly used in carrying nuclear weapons.

ICBMs can also be good carriers of conventional, biological, and chemical weapons. However, such weapons have never been deployed on an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. The first practical design for ICBMs grew out of Nazi Germany’s V-2 rocket program.
