DC vs LSG: Delhi Capitals Beat Lucknow SuperGiants Easily

DC vs LSG was a boring match just because of some extraordinary bowling by Kuldeep Yadav. Once Lucknow shifted to the back sheet, they never came to the driving sheet.

DC vs LSG Highlights

The visitors were successful in the 26th battle of IPL 2024 between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow SuperGiants. DC vs LSG was a complete disappointment for UP fans as they lost badly.

Lucknow SuperGiants and Delhi Capitals were taking on in the 26th IPL match. Lucknow won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the toss was the only thing that went in LSG’s favor. Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul tried to make a steady start for their team. However, after 28 runs, Lucknow’s innings declined like a house of mud.

Khaleel and Kuldeep continuously hampered LSG’s batting. In the DC vs LSG match, Lucknow lost seven wickets without reaching three digits. However, Ayush Badoni kept one end secure, and with the support of Arshad Khan, he took LSG to 167 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav took three crucial wickets for Delhi, while Khaleel contributed by picking up two wickets.

DC batting

While chasing a target of 168 runs, DC did not get a good start. David Warner went back after scoring just eight runs on nine balls. However, Prithvi Shaw and Jake Fraser-McGurk handled the situation nicely. Delhi lost their second in the seventh over in the form of Prithvi Shaw.

However, Jake and skipper Pant ensured victory by building a partnership of 60+ runs. Jake scored 55 runs on 35 balls with five sixes and two fours. Pant also played a 41 runs’ crucial knock.

Tristan Stubbs and Shai Hope led their team to the winning runs, and DC won against LSG with six wickets in hand. Ravi Bishnoi took a maximum of two wickets for LSG.

Match Heroes

Ayush Badoni

Ayush is the real hero of today’s DC vs. LSG match. When LSG lost seven crucial wickets for 97 runs, Badoni kept one end secure. He was Lucknow’s only player who showed some courage to fight.

Badoni smashed only one six in his innings due to the wicket pressure. But he sent the ball out of the boundary five times.

Kuldeep Yadav

Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav never loses any chance to disrupt the opposition. In today’s game, he broke the backbone of LSG’s batting. Kuldeep took three crucial wickets for his team and prevented LSG from starting well.

Jake Fraser

Victory matters! Jake is the man who played a match-winning knock. He scored 55 runs on just 35 balls. Although Jake’s innings were not so fast, he smashed five towering sixes. Fraser also hit two boundaries.
