Mamie Laverock’s family has set up a fundraiser on GoFundMe to raise money for her treatment. The family has not revealed any improvements in the actress’ condition since the accident.
Laverock’s fans, loved ones, and co-stars consistently donate and pray for her quick recovery.
What has happened to Mamie Laverock?
Popular actress Mamie Laverock, known for her roles in “When Calls the Heart” and other productions, checked herself into a hospital in Winnipeg on May 11. Due to severe health concerns, she was referred to another hospital in Vancouver.
She was hospitalized in Winnipeg for further treatments and was experiencing improvements. However, an accident on a five-story balcony led to even more severe health conditions.
Her mother, Nicole Compton, says, “We are deeply saddened to report that on May 26, Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.”
According to her parents, Mamie Laverock sustained many severe injuries from the five-story fall. Though doctors are working hard to save her, her condition is not yet stable.
GoFundMe for Mamie Laverock
Mamie’s parents have set up a GoFundMe to raise funds for their daughter’s treatment. The campaign has raised over 15K CAD and is only 10K short of the 25K target.
Many of her co-stars and fans support her, hoping to see her soon. Erin Krakow, one of Mamie’s co-workers on “When Calls the Heart,” has also donated to the actress.
“I just donated. If you have the means to do so, I hope you will too,” Erin wrote on her Instagram.
Mamie Laverock received most recognition after portraying Rosaleen Sullivan in several episodes of WCTH, from 2014 to 2023. In addition, she also played important characters in “The Hollow Child,” “Wedding of Dreams,” and more.
When Calls the Heart Season 11
The new season of “When Calls the Heart” is ready to be released. According to an ET Online report, season 11 of the Hallmark Channel series will premiere on Sunday, April 7, at 9 PM.
