CSK vs GT: Gujarat’s Win Gives RCB Some Hopes 

CSK vs GT gave a lot of pleasure to three teams simultaneously. Gujarat is happy for its dominating victory against Chennai. CSK fans are happy after watching Dhoni hit massive sixes, and RCB fans are so glad because their hopes are getting stronger. 

CSK vs GT, which took place at Narendra Modi Stadium, was a complete thrill for all the cricket lovers. More than 400 runs were scored by both Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT). 

Mahendra Singh once again showcased his class and experience against the Gujarat Giants. However, in the face of Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill’s centuries, Chennai’s batting appeared very poor, particularly the performance of the top order. Rahane, Rachin, and Ruturaj, all stars in their own right, faltered today.

CSK vs GT Highlights 

Chennai Super Kings started with the ball after winning the toss. Unfortunately, all the bowlers from CSK failed severely. The opening pair of Sai and Gill scored 210 runs without losing any wickets. Sai smashed a fast century off just 51 balls, with seven sixes and five fours. Additionally, Gill scored 104 runs off 55 balls.

Gujarat Giants set a target of 232 runs for Chennai Super Kings.

In response, CSK started badly with the bat as well. They lost their three wickets for just 10 runs in three overs. Though Daryl Mitchell, Moen Ali, and Dhoni tried harder to bounce back, they failed. 

In the end, Gujarat won the CSK vs. GT match by a massive margin of 35 runs. 

Playoff hopes for CSK, GT and RCB

Any team that manages to reach 16 points will be in the playoffs for sure. Kolkata and Rajasthan, with 16 points each, are already in the playoffs. While Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings have no hopes. 

So, a total of 6 teams are fighting to secure a spot in the playoffs. Teams are SRH, CSK, DC, LSG, RCB and GT. 

CSK Chances for Playoffs

However, Chennai lost the CSK vs GT match, and they can easily enter the playoffs by winning all their remaining matches. The race may be challenging if CSK loses one or two matches. 

DC Chances for Playoffs 

Delhi Capitals are still capable of reaching a minimum of 16 points that will confirm their entry into the playoffs. However, if they lose any of the two upcoming matches, their net run rate may throw them out. 

LSG Chances for Playoffs

Lucknow is in the same situation as the Delhi Capitals. They may still make the playoffs, but their net run rate is very poor, which can be dangerous for the Lucknow SuperGiants. 

RCB hopes for playoffs

It is very tough for Royal Challengers Bengaluru to secure a position in the top four. They have only 10 points in hand and can reach a maximum of 14 points from now on. So, even after winning all their matches, they will have to see other matches, especially Chennai Super Kings matches.

GT hopes for playoffs. 

Gujarat is at number 8 and has only 10 points after playing 12 matches. Pointwise, it has equal chances to reach the playoffs race. But their net run rate may be dangerous for them.
