Dua Lipa is known for her vivacity, and she never loses any chance to express herself. On Saturday Night Live, the hitmaker expressed herself in an outspoken style and reacted to some popular memes. 

Singer, songwriter, and one of the most popular celebrities, Dua Lipa, is hosting the late-night show. She is pulling double duty on the Saturday Night Show, May 4 episode. Along with hosting the night, she also took the stage as the musical guest. 

Dua Lipa welcomes attendees in her well-known style by cracking jokes and having extra fun. In addition to a variety of other things, Dua speaks about popular jokes regarding her nickname. In addition, the Dance the Night singer talks about the “give us nothing” meme that was inspired by one of her performances. 

Dula Peep 

Dua Lipa introduced herself while taking the stage. However, while introducing herself, she also said that some people also know her as Dula Peep. This was obviously her first joke on stage.

Dua’s nickname was born when Wendy Williams, the cultural icon that she is, pronounced her name incorrectly. During an episode of Wendy Williams, Wendy called her Dula Peep years ago.

The singer also includes her parents in the jokes, stating that her parents partied harder than she did. 

Dua Lipa’s parents, Anesa and Dukagjin Lipa, have supported the singer very much. They celebrate every achievement of their daughter more than her. However, it must be clarified if Dua was discussing any particular party.

Dua Lipa also discussed her other nickname, the queen of vacations, humorously and lightly. She said, “Because I am British, we call it a holiday.” 

In 2023, Dua got this new name when fans noticed a lot of vacation pictures on her Instagram. Fans started saying she was always on vacation and named her Queen of Vacations. Dua responded to the name in her last interview with Rolling Stone. 

Give Us Nothing meme

Dua quoted another meme she made about herself and had fun. She said about the “give us nothing” meme, “I gave you the greatest meme of all time.” 

The meme originated from the 2018 Brit Awards when a user wrote, “Go girl, give us nothing” in response to a clip of Dua spiritlessly shaking her hips onstage.
