The reason for the death of Keisha Nash Whitaker, the ex-wife of Forest Whitaker, has been made public.

Keisha, 51, died from alcoholic liver disease. It was alleged that Keisha had been suffering from the illness for years.

True Whitaker, Whitaker and Nash’s daughter, verified her mother’s passing on social media.

“Goodbye, Mommy. I love you 4ever and beyond,” True posted a black-and-white picture of her mother on Instagram Story along with the caption, “The most beautiful woman in the world… thank you for teaching me every single thing I know. I’ll see you in my dreams, and I’ll feel you in my heart,” she added.

Keisha Nash Whitaker and Forest Whitaker are also parents of a 27-year-old daughter [Sonnet].

Alcoholic Liver disease is the reason behind Keisha Nash Whitaker’s death.

Keisha’s death certificate states that acute renal failure, a symptom of anorexia, had a role in her passing.

“There have been statements from STRANGERS claiming the cause of my mom’s death,” Keisha’s daughter said in response to the anorexia connection. My mom DID NOT suffer from anorexia, although my heart goes out to those who do.” Keisha’s daughter said in response to the anorexia connection. 

She continued, “I ask for respect and space and for those not to speculate and fabricate facts about her life. And to those who have been nothing but supportive to my family and me, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Forest Whitaker, best known for his evergreen roles in ‘Godfather Of Harlem’ and ‘The Butler,’ and Nash were married for twenty-two years before the actor filed for divorce from his ex-wife Nash in December 2018, citing irreconcilable differences. Whitaker complimented his ex-wife to Parade before their divorce, saying, “To be honest, my wife is much stronger with the kids than I am. They come to me when they’re trying to slip something by.
