SHINee's Taemin is Leaving SM Entertainment after 16 Years

The recent updates have sparked a discussion among netizens as Shinee’s Taemin is leaving SM Entertainment. According to social discussions, Taemin will join BPM Entertainment after leaving SM. 

SHINee’s Taemin is set to discontinue its services for SM Entertainment. The singer has worked for over 16 years before leaving the multinational entertainment agency. However, he has taken a pivoted decision to leave SM Entertainment now and focus on his solo activities. 

SHINee member Taemin’s contract with SM Entertainment will end in March 2024. The singer has no plans to renew his contract with the company. According to the updates, Taemin will continue his soloist activities under another label. However, fans still hope the singer will continue with the same company. 

As per the reports, Taemin has plans to sign a new contract with BPM Entertainment. Certain big names like VIVIZ, Ha Sung-Woon, and Ren are already working with BPM.

Onew will also leave

Also, according to the South Korean media outlet News1, the founder of SHINee, Onew, will also leave SM Entertainment after his contract ends. His contract will also finish in the first half of this year, and he will not renew it with the company. However, we don’t have any official announcements from the company or the singer himself. 

What is SHINee? 

SHINee is a popular South Korean boy band. The band was formed by SM Entertainment Company in 2008. According to Wikipedia, the group was originally started with five members: Onew, Key, Minho, Jonghyn, and Taemin. 

The group has received a lot of appreciation from fans in South Korea and other nations. They were named “Princes of K-pop” for their outstanding performances.
