Social media icon and popular TikTok personality Eva Evans tragically passed away in April 2024. The New York City Medical Examiner has revealed that the cause of her death was suicide.

The internet community is stunned by the revelation of the true cause of Eva Evans’ death. Although the popular TikTok personality had been suffering from mental health issues, no one had expected suicide to be the cause.

In a recent development, the New York City Medical Examiner has confirmed that suicide was the primary cause of her death. The examiner clearly mentioned that Eva Evans died due to hanging. However, the staff refused to comment on the media’s questions.

Eva Evans, 29 at the time of her death, had more than 300,000 followers on TikTok. She covered multiple aspects of couples’ lives in her short but sweet videos.

Evans’ sister revealed the tragic news in April via an Instagram post. She wrote in her post, “Please share this post so that it reaches everyone it needs to. Yesterday, my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, and hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died.”

Lila further added, “After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievably hard to process this news will be.”

“I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t. I am keeping this brief so we can plan for the next few days, but you will hear a lot more from me on how much Eva means to me and just how different the world will be without her,” she added.

Eva Evans struggled with mental health issues

People are speculating on why Eva Evans took her own life, with countless theories circulating. However, the actual reason remains unclear. The only potential cause that can be suggested is her struggle with mental health.

Eva had suffered from mental health issues for several years and had been undergoing therapy. She had openly shared her past struggles. “When I was 16, I was forcibly taken to a wilderness therapy program and spent almost a year in treatment centers,” she wrote in a caption.”

“Today, I’m a filmmaker, and I developed a TV show based on my experience :),” she concluded.
