Delhi Capitals defeated Mumbai Indians by 36 runs. Mumbai’s strong batting lineup and the experience of captain Harmanpreet Kaur could not challenge DC.
In the Tata WPL match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, Jemimah Rodrigues showed her class and played an attacking inning. DC captain Lanning also hit a fast half-century to give DC a strong start.
However, in reply to DC’s 192, none of the MI batters dared to spend even some time at the crease. Except for Amanjot Kaur, all the MI players, including Captain Harman, were completely disappointed with their performance.

MI captain Harmanpreet won the toss and elected to bowl first. DC took a strong start with a short but impressive inning by Shafali Verma. Shafali scored 28 runs in just 12 balls with two sixes and three fours.
Captain Lanning played a fantastic inning of 53 runs after facing 38 balls. She hit two sky-high sixes and six fours. Alice Capsey contributed with 19 runs on 20 balls, which was a poor performance.
Jemimah played the best inning for DC and reached the naughty number of 69 runs. She faced 33 balls and hit three sixes and eight fours to reach that number.
Shabnim Ismail, Saika Ishaque, Hayley and Pooja Vastrakar got one wicket each.
MI Batting
The Mumbai team, which had set out to achieve a big target, was attacked first. Yastika Bhatia lost her wicket with a total score of 7 runs. Soon after this, Brunt also returned after scoring five runs in three balls.
Hayley Mathews, with 29 runs, was the only player who showed some skill on the field for Mumbai Indians. Most of the MI players completely failed in this Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals match.
Amanjot Kaur also played a courageous innings to save MI from a shameful defeat. Kaur hit seven boundaries to score 42 runs on just 27 balls.
Jess Jonassen was the most successful bowler of the match who took 3 important wickets. In addition, Kapp also got two important wickets, while Shikha Pandey, Sadhu and Radha also got one wicket each.
