LSG vs CSK: Lucknow won home ground battle easily 

Lucknow SuperGiants won the LSG vs CSK match easily with 8 wickets in hand. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s heart-winning inning went to waste after KL Rahul’s knock. 

Another IPL match started with the echo of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s name. The Former Indian captain came to bat and played a fantastic innings. However, everything shifted to the LSG when de Kock and KL built a 100+ runs opening partnership. 

Eventually, the home team, Lucknow, won the LSG vs CSK match by eight wickets. 

LSG vs CSK highlights 

Lucknow SuperGiants won the toss and elected to bowl first. KL’s decision to invite Chennai to bat first proved correct when Mohsin bowled out Rachin Ravindra. Ravindra lost his wicket on the very first ball of the second over; he scored a duck. 

Ruturaj came after Ravindra and continued CSK’s innings at a moderate speed. Unfortunately, Gaikwad also lost his wicket to Yash Thakur very early. Gaikwad scored 17 runs off 13 balls with one boundary. 

Jadeja joined Ajinkya Rahane to continue the CSK’s innings. They were looking settled until LSG vs CSK witnessed another blow. In form, Rahane lost his wicket to Krunal after scoring 36 off 24 balls. Rahane smashed one towering six and five boundaries. 

Dube and Sameer Rizvi proved flops today, going back to the pavilion after scoring three and one run. However, Ravindra Jadeja kept one end secured and built a good partnership with Moeen. Ali smashed three sixes in his 30-run innings. 

When Ali departed, even the Chennai fans started cheering, as this was the time when Legend Mahi came to bat. Commentators started shouting Dhoni 2.O when he hit his first boundary. Thala continued his game and scored 28 runs off just nine balls. He smashed two sixes and three fours. 

Jadeja was Chennai Super Kings’ highest scorer. He scored 57 runs off 40 balls, five fours, and one six. 

LSG bowling 

Chennai lost five wickets for under a hundred runs, yet they reached 170+. This shows how poorly LSG bowled today. Krunal was the highest wicket-taker of the LSG vs CSK match, taking two wickets. Four other bowlers also got one wicket each. 

LSG Batting 

In response to CSK’s 176 runs, LSG made a solid start. Skipper KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock killed the hopes of Chennai by building a 134-run opening partnership. De Kock played an important 54 runs inning off just 43 balls. He smashed one six and five fours in his innings. 

At the same time, LSG leader KL Rahul played the inning, which made it an easy win for LSG. He played an 82-run knock after facing 53 balls. The skipper’s innings was decorated with three towering sixes and nine fours. 

Nicholas Pooran, with 23 runs, and Marcus Stoinis, with 8 runs, gave the final touches to LSG’s victory. Lucknow won the match one over prior and with eight wickets in hand. 

Match Hero 

According to the fans, there can be multiple heroes in the LSG vs CSK match. However, based on their performance, KL Rahul was the real hero of this match.

KL Rahul—KL not only played a fast and big innings, but he also watered all the tactics of legend Dhoni. Rahul secured the wicket and led from the front to ensure an easy and much-needed win for LSG. He smashed three sixes and nine fours, which was also a great game by the skipper.
